Rachel graduated from Wayne State University with a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a focus in Art Therapy. Rachel is a Limited License Counselor and a Provisional Art Therapist.
She believes that every individual has the power to grow, adapt and thrive throughout their daily living. Her goal is to help guide the client through the therapeutic process using talk therapy and art as a vehicle for positive growth. She offers clinical counseling as well as art therapy to children, adults, couples and families. She is interested in working with a wide range of individuals including clients who are experiencing depression, trauma, anxiety, career issues, relationship conflicts as well as grief and loss.
Services are offered using the therapeutic process and technique that best suits the client’s individual problems and needs. The humanistic approach is her primary therapeutic process which emphasizes the clients journey using techniques that do not eliminate negative feelings, but creates self- awareness and congruence between the inner self and the experience.
Rachel also frequently integrates art experientials, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness practices.
